Episode 82 ft. Dr. Loria Nahatis, DDS
Feb 24, 2023 Episode 82
Brittny Sciarra, RDH, BS, MAS™, COM®, QOM®

In today's episode, Brittny chats with Dr. Dr. Loria Nahatis, DDS,  a board-certified pediatric dentist who has been in the pediatric dental field for over 25 years.
She is co-founder of Beyond Pediatric Dentistry in Dallas, and her focus in
pediatric dentistry is optimal craniofacial health, growth, and development.
She has realized from personal experience that if a child’s craniofacial
growth is off-track, it affects their ability to breathe, sleep and thrive.
Dr. Loria is the first recipient of the Dr. Soroush Zaghi Award for application
of evidence-based protocols to the community at the AAPMD’s
Collaboration Cures 2021.

Something Brittny knows her myofunctional therapist colleagues will absolutely LOVE hearing is Dr. Loria discusses the use of myofunctional appliances and describes them as training wheels for myofunctional therapy. What a great analogy, they do NOT replace myofunctional therapy as some providers might believe and/or practice.
